![]() You can also use the save and load options so that you can save yourself the trouble of watching the prologue again. You can either sit through the dialogue or just press the Triangle button the PlayStation versions to skip through the dialogue and get to the dialogue options right away. ![]() HATOFUL BOYFRIEND FREE DOWNLOAD FULL PLUSThe game is what it is, a dating sim visual novel but with Pigeons which the weirdness around it is the game's biggest strength and the amount of endings you can get can increase the replay value of the game, plus there is a new storyline path which unlocks after you get the other endings but however compared to the main storyline it is underwhelming and it stretches it self a little too much plus you don't get to interact with it at all aside from having a mock up Turn Based RPG style battle which doesn't last that long. Least the game does have a very good description on the various types of birds that you see throughout the game and for how much dialogue you are going to sit through the writing is pretty solid but there is no voice acting in the game sadly. ![]() HATOFUL BOYFRIEND FREE DOWNLOAD FULL PS4The soundtrack is also very uninspired and very forgettable at beast making it a rather dull game to look at or listen to even for PS4 standards. There isn't any animations aside from the screen shaking when stuff happens and maybe a swipe animation as well. To be honest the presentation is the weakest element with the game, the backgrounds look okay as well as the human anime portraits but however the pigeons themselves look like photographs cut out from Google or something and when you see them with hats and other pieces of clothing on them they just look very stupid and look like they were edited in Microsoft Paint or something. It has a lot of replay value in that you get to see the many outcomes between the characters you decide to hang out alongside the different activities you chose to do from Arts, PE, Science and Math classes which also have affects as well. Some of the endings might give you a happy ending, some will give you the ending you might not expect while the worst options you picked lead you to your ultimate demise. There are about 14 different endings in the game in total all of which have different outcomes depending on the choices you made throughout the game which means you have to play the game 14 times to see all of he possible outcomes. The main purpose with the choices however that which either option you pick will affect the storyline path and will increase the relationship with other characters that you want to spend time with, either it is either your childhood friend, a bookworm who never leaves the Library, your home room teacher and so on. After moments you are then presented by a choice where you pick from the available options which will advance the story as well as improving some stats which honestly don't have any actual impact at all. The game is spent reading every piece of dialogue, watching humorous and entertaining moments unfold and advancing past cutscenes by pressing the X button on the PlayStation versions by default. ![]() The setting is for the game is very bizarre and how these birds manage to communicate with the human teenage girl? Don't ask me. Hatoful Boyfriend's premise is quite a weird one to say the least, you are a young teenage girl who enlists in the St PigeoNation's Institute where everyone from students and teachers are pigeons who have taken form of other humans because apparently this game takes place in a alternate version of Earth where sapient birds replace the humans in society. ![]() These flock of Pigeons are a part of society in Hatoful Boyfriend. Today I am going to be talking about one of those Visual Novel style games which I did play through as it was one of the games I got as a Free PSN Plus download called Hatoful Boyfriend which originally came out as a Japanese exclusive before getting a remake to be released on PCs and eventually bring it on consoles where it finally got a western release. So whatever or not you enjoy any of the Visual Novels it is here to stay. Visual Novels aren't really so much as games but they are very popular on the gaming scene with amazing ones like the Zero Escape games and another one I know of which was Psycho-Pass. Visual Novels are actually kind of a thing in the gaming industry as they are heavily relaxing and focus 90% on telling a story rather have any kind of gameplay like doing tricky jumps across platforms in Mario or blowing stuff up and shooting down waves of terrorists in Call of Duty for example.
